Campfire, S’mores and a lot of games: language camp of our bilingual class 6a

Während die anderen 6. Klassen ihr Schullandheim in Bairawies verbrachten, wartete auf die Bili-Klasse 6a eine "englische Woche" in Habsberg. Hier der Bericht zweier Schüler - in English.

When we arrived in Habsberg we met Paul and Liz, our Leolingo English teachers. Then we were divided into two groups . After that we played games to get to know each other better. We played a lot of fun games and exotic sports like Gaelic football, lacrosse, cricket and baseball. We also had “arts and crafts”. There we built little cars. A balloon was used to get them going. The car race with those little vehicles was great. Xyler’s team won!

In the breaks we played table-tennis, Mäxle, billiards and Tischkicker. One day we went up the church tower in Habsberg and we could see all of Habsberg. It was a fantastic view.

The dinner was fine as was the breakfast. Our last day at Habsberg was great: We had Schnitzel for lunch.

The last night we had a campfire and Paul showed us how to make s’mores (toasted marshmallows sandwiched between a plain biscuit and a chocolate biscuit). At the campfire we listened to music and sang campfire songs with Liz.

We had a lot of fun and most of us would have liked to stay at least one more week. But our suitcases were packed and we had to say good bye to Liz and Paul.
